How to request deletion

1. Email info@opiskelijaravintolat.app.
2. Use the subject line "JYU food menu account deletion".
3. Include the email address, sign-in provider, or user ID connected to your app account if available.
4. Tell us whether you want your whole account deleted, specific data deleted, or both.

We may ask you to confirm account ownership before deleting data. This protects other users from unauthorized deletion requests.

Data deleted or anonymised

After a verified deletion request, we delete or anonymise personal data connected to the account, including:

• Firebase Authentication identifiers and sign-in data where deletion is technically available.
• Profile details such as display name, profile photo, phone number, bio, faculty, language, and settings.
• Favourites, dietary preferences, privacy toggles, blocked users, notification tokens, and app preferences.
• User-created community content tied to the account, such as posts, comments, chat messages, sport sessions, and media.
• Feedback and support data where it is not needed for security, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons.

Data that may be retained

We may retain limited records when necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, abuse reporting, child safety, dispute handling, audit logs, or backup integrity. These records are kept only as long as needed for those purposes or as required by law.

Local data on your device

Some data may exist only on your device, such as cached menus, local assistant chat history, recent restaurant visit history, local preferences, or secure tokens. You can remove local data by clearing app data or uninstalling the app through your device settings.

Partial deletion

You can request deletion of specific data without deleting your whole account. Describe the data you want deleted in your email request.

Voit pyytää Opiskelijaravintolat / JYU ruokalistat -sovelluksen tilisi tai tiettyjen henkilötietojesi poistoa lähettämällä sähköpostia osoitteeseen info@opiskelijaravintolat.app.

Käytä otsikkoa "Opiskelijaravintolat tilin poisto" ja kerro viestissä sähköpostiosoite, kirjautumistapa tai käyttäjätunniste, jos se on tiedossasi. Kerro myös, haluatko poistaa koko tilin vai vain tietyt tiedot.

Varmistamme tarvittaessa, että pyyntö tulee tilin omistajalta. Joitakin tietoja voidaan säilyttää rajoitetusti, jos se on tarpeen lain, turvallisuuden, väärinkäytösten selvittämisen, lapsiturvallisuuden, riitojen, varmuuskopioiden tai auditoinnin vuoksi.
