Terms of Use
These terms apply to the JYU food menu / JYU ruokalistat mobile app, website, restaurant pages, map views, community features, notifications, and related backend services.
1. Provider and acceptance
JYU food menu, also known as JYU ruokalistat, is provided by Alex Liao in Finland. By using the app or website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What the service provides
The service helps users browse student restaurant menus, opening hours, restaurant profiles, map locations, favourites, app notifications, community features, and food-related recommendations. Some features may be available only in the mobile app.
3. Restaurant data and availability
Menus, prices, opening hours, dietary information, map locations, and restaurant details may come from restaurants, public sources, third-party services, user reports, or automated processing. We aim to keep information useful and current, but it may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or incorrect.
Always verify critical information, allergens, prices, opening hours, and dietary suitability directly with the restaurant before relying on it.
4. Accounts and user content
You are responsible for your account activity and for keeping sign-in methods secure. If you use community, feedback, chat, reporting, profile, image, or other content features, you must have the right to submit that content and you must not submit illegal, harmful, abusive, misleading, infringing, or privacy-violating content.
We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend access when needed to protect users, comply with law, prevent abuse, or maintain the service.
5. AI assistant and recommendations
AI, translation, recommendation, or assistant features may produce inaccurate or incomplete output. They are provided for convenience only and should not be treated as professional, medical, dietary, allergy, legal, or financial advice.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or disrupt the app, website, feeds, APIs, or backend services;
- copy or republish restaurant data at scale without permission;
- attempt to bypass privacy, security, rate limits, or access controls;
- harass users, impersonate others, or submit harmful or unlawful content;
- use the service in a way that violates applicable law or app store rules.
7. Third-party services
The service may link to or use app stores, restaurants, Firebase, Google services, Apple and Google sign-in, OpenStreetMap-based map tiles, Google Maps, AI or translation providers, and other third-party services. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

8. Privacy and deletion

9. Changes, availability, and termination
We may change, pause, discontinue, or limit parts of the service at any time. We may update these terms when the service, providers, app store requirements, or laws change. Continued use after updates means you accept the updated terms.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided as available. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that all restaurant information will be accurate or complete. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under mandatory law.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by Finnish law, except where mandatory consumer protection rules require otherwise. Questions can be sent to info@opiskelijaravintolat.app.

Palvelun tiedot ja vastuu
Ruokalistat, hinnat, aukioloajat, ruokavaliotiedot, sijainnit ja ravintolatiedot voivat perustua ravintoloiden tietoihin, julkisiin lähteisiin, kolmannen osapuolen palveluihin, käyttäjäilmoituksiin tai automaattiseen käsittelyyn. Pyrimme pitämään tiedot hyödyllisinä, mutta ne voivat olla puutteellisia, viivästyneitä tai virheellisiä. Tarkista kriittiset tiedot, erityisesti allergeenit, hinnat ja aukioloajat, suoraan ravintolalta.
Käyttäjätilit ja sisältö
Vastaat tilisi käytöstä ja siitä, että lähettämäsi sisältö ei ole laitonta, loukkaavaa, harhaanjohtavaa, tekijänoikeuksia rikkovaa tai toisten yksityisyyttä loukkaavaa. Voimme poistaa sisältöä tai rajoittaa käyttöä turvallisuuden, lain, väärinkäytösten estämisen tai palvelun ylläpidon vuoksi.
AI-avustaja ja käyttörajoitukset
AI-, käännös- ja suositustoiminnot voivat antaa virheellistä tai puutteellista sisältöä. Niitä ei pidä tulkita ammatilliseksi, lääketieteelliseksi, ruokavalio-, allergia-, oikeudelliseksi tai taloudelliseksi neuvoksi. Palvelua ei saa kuormittaa, kopioida laajamittaisesti, kiertää suojauksia, häiritä muita käyttäjiä tai käyttää lain tai sovelluskauppojen sääntöjen vastaisesti.
